Ellin & Tucker Applauds Future Leaders

We are thrilled to announce the promotions of three Ellin & Tucker professionals to the position of supervisor: Lisa Bish and Jack Mathias of the firm’s audit and accounting department, and Jayla Prince in the client accounting and advisory department.

Originally from Anne Arundel County, Lisa Bish started her career at Ellin & Tucker as a part-time associate in 2020. During this time, she was a student at Towson University pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduating in 2022, she joined the firm as a full-time associate in the firm’s audit and accounting department. Lisa is thankful for the firm’s support throughout her professional journey. “Ellin & Tucker cares about their team member’s success,” she says, “Whether it’s providing opportunities to be involved in business development or schedule flexibility when sitting for the CPA exam, they provide resources and opportunities to help you be your best.”

Jack Mathias, a Carroll County native, started at Ellin & Tucker as a part of the winter 2020 intern class. After completing his internship experience, Jack found a strong connection to the audit side of the industry. He joined the firm as an associate later that year after graduating from Loyola University of Maryland. As a supervisor, Jack hopes to take on a stronger role in the firm’s mentoring program as he helps foster the next generation. He says, “My audit team mentors have always been there to listen and offer guidance, whenever I needed it. I am excited to pay it forward to the firm’s associates.”

Jayla Prince, who is from Charles County, also started at Ellin & Tucker as an intern, participating in six different firm internship experiences between 2017 and 2020. Upon graduating from Towson University in 2020, she joined the team as an associate in the firm’s audit and accounting group. Earlier this year, Jayla found her interests shifting, and the firm facilitated her transition to the client accounting and advisory department. She says her favorite part about working at Ellin & Tucker is how she can be the driver of her career. “The firm gives you the power to set your own professional goals,” Jayla says, “Then they give you the support and tools to reach them.”
