Ellin & Tucker Celebrates Three Exciting Leadership Promotions

We are proud to announce the promotion of three Ellin & Tucker professionals to the position of principal: Brett Jones and Clare Kim in the tax department, and Donatella Spigarelli in the audit and accounting department.

Brett Jones began his journey at Ellin & Tucker as an intern while attending Towson University. After graduating in 2015, he returned to the firm as an associate in the tax department. Since then, Brett has become an integral part of the tax team, providing excellent client service while cultivating relationships with the firm’s most influential commercial real estate clients, as well as construction and manufacturing.

Brett believes that the firm’s support and encouragement were key factors in reaching his career milestone. “The firm has been a constant source of support in my life since the day I started,” says Brett. “They work hard to ensure you have the opportunities and resources to grow and achieve your professional goals. The support doesn’t just stop at professional fulfillment, the firm cares about their team members being fulfilled on a personal level too.”

Another valuable member of the Ellin & Tucker team promoted to tax principal is Clare Kim. Since joining the firm in 2004, Clare has dedicated herself to maintaining the highest level of technical expertise and client service with privately held businesses across a number of industries, especially commercial real estate. Her in-depth knowledge of the most complex tax situations makes her a well-respected member of the tax team and a knowledgeable resource for her clients, peers, and colleagues.

As a principal, Clare looks forward to taking on an even stronger role in helping foster the firm’s youngest and newest employees. Clare says, “The firm’s culture is all about helping each other be our best. As a tax team leader, I want to give the next generation technical insight and help them truly understand their work. I love watching them grow and being a part of their journey.”

Donatella Spigarelli joined the firm’s audit and accounting practice in 2015 after working as a financial analyst. She provides services to various privately held businesses including clients in the construction industry and those with employee benefit plan needs. Her advancement and success in the firm’s audit and accounting department is a testament to the relationships she has nurtured and built with numerous clients.

Donatella says her favorite part about working at Ellin & Tucker is the culture and how the firm celebrates each team member’s individuality. “As a part of the Ellin & Tucker family, you are celebrated for who you are,” says Donatella. “The firm sees each team member for the individual that they are and champions what makes them special. I am grateful to be a part of a community that gives everyone a place to shine.”
